Platform Terms

iRunSA Terms of Use

Terms for athlete profiles, verified performances, event services, shareable athlete CVs and athletics administration.

Last updated: 21 July 2026

1. Platform purpose

iRunSA provides athlete registration, result management, verified athlete CVs, public profiles, timing support, federation collaboration and related digital athletics services.

2. Athlete data and authorised use

By using iRunSA, users acknowledge that athlete profile data, verification data, performance history and official participation information may be processed and shared for athletics related operational, administrative, competitive, development, verification, ranking, compliance and athlete management purposes.

3. Accuracy

Users must provide accurate information and must not submit false performances, false evidence, misleading media or unauthorised athlete details. iRunSA may review, restrict, reject or remove records that appear inaccurate or abusive.

4. Minor athletes must be registered by a guardian

A person under 18 cannot create their own iRunSA login. A parent or legal guardian must first create their own guardian account, giving their own name, surname, cellphone number and email address, and must then register each minor athlete from that guardian account.

By registering a minor athlete, the guardian confirms that they hold the authority to do so and accepts responsibility for keeping the athlete's sporting details accurate and for responding to any request from iRunSA about that athlete's profile.

A coach, club, school or federation official acting under a verified organisation may also create a sporting record for a minor without login credentials, so the record can be claimed later by the athlete or their guardian. This does not replace guardian authority and does not grant control over public profiles or sensitive identity changes.

A minor athlete's account, once created, is managed by their guardian until the athlete turns 18, at which point they are invited to accept these terms for themselves and take control of their own privacy settings.

5. Public profiles and CVs

Adult athlete, coach, representative, manager and other professional profiles are publicly discoverable by default. Minor athlete profiles are private and are not shown in public search, and remain that way unless the registering guardian later enables a specific public profile option for that athlete.

Users may control supported contact, performance and CV download fields separately. Shareable profile links are designed to promote current athletics identity and trusted performance records. Static PDF exports are snapshots and may not reflect later corrections or field level sharing changes.

6. Official records

Official event results, rankings, qualification records and federation administration data may remain available in sanctioned athletics ecosystems and public result surfaces as part of the athletics record.

7. Coaches, managers and representatives

Users acting for athletes must have appropriate authority. They may only access, update or share athlete information for legitimate athletics related purposes.

8. Privacy

Use of iRunSA is subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains the public profile rule, field level privacy controls, guardian and minor athlete information, identity number encryption, federation access, official result integrations, evidence submissions, retention and POPIA rights.
